Mahika Kasarabada is a rising senior from New Jersey with a strong passion for promoting STEM-based opportunities to the greater community. Her interests lie at the intersection of AI, health tech, entrepreneurship, and education. As a Summer Intern at Flintolabs, Mahika was eager to contribute to the platform’s mission of making STEM learning more interactive, engaging, and accessible.

The concept was simple: What if we could simulate a panel of expert “Sharks” who each bring a unique lens to evaluating a business idea? From that idea emerged a full-stack AI agent with five distinct personas, of which users can choose from - Investor Shark, Tech Expert Shark, User Advocate Shark, Sustainability Shark, and Wildcard Shark. Each persona asks questions, gives feedback, and evaluates pitches using a rubric-based scoring system. Mahika trained the system to hold interactive Q&A sessions with student users, assess their pitch deck content, and adapt follow-up questions to prior responses.

On the backend, she used Django (v4.1.3) to build a robust API and integrated Pydantic AI to fine-tune the models powering each Shark. She used Next.js to align the interface with the Flintolabs frontend and to ensure the experience felt intuitive for users.

The Shark Tank AI agent isn’t solely grading pitches, but also guides students to think critically about user needs, market viability, and impact.
