Empowering students to create a new economy of opportunity that includes everyone.

Our Story

Flintolabs began with a conversation between two old friends who met as undergrads studying engineering, and years later, found themselves working together again at Microsoft. But it was during a casual catch-up last year that a different kind of collaboration began to take shape.

Both of us had been hearing from parents in our networks - "Are there any internships for high schoolers? Something meaningful?" But the reality was disheartening. With layoffs sweeping through the industry, internships were few and far between, especially for students just starting to explore their passions.

As we talked, Ayesha shared a memory—how learning to code as a teen gave her the tools to build apps for her friends and family. It wasn't just about the tech. It was about having a creative outlet, a way to experiment freely, solve real problems, and feel empowered. That stayed with her!

I had my own moment of realization during my MBA: what if we raised a generation of young people who looked at problems in the world not with resignation, but with the mindset of a builder? What if students didn't wait for someone to offer them a job—but were equipped to create their own opportunities?

That vision became the foundation of Flintolabs.

We started building our flagship program — "AI Through the Lens of Entrepreneurship" — with a mission: to teach students how to turn their ideas into prototypes using AI, to develop real-world problem-solving skills, and to build the confidence to lead, create, and make an impact. We wanted the learning experience to be interactive, peer-driven, and thought-provoking. And when we couldn't find a platform that met our standards for safety, engagement, and effectiveness — we built one ourselves.

That's how Flintolabs, and the idea for HumanEdge, came to life: born out of a belief that every student should have the tools to be a changemaker, not someday-but now.
