How does the program work?

Flintolabs is a 6 month program that goes from AI fundamentals to building and pitching your own startup.

Foundations: 1 month

We kickstart the program with weekly immersive AI labs where students learn the building blocks of AI-powered apps. It culminates with a capstone project where students build an AI application based on their idea. Students learn AI-assisted coding using Cursor and create their code portfolio in GitHub.

Saturdays from 5.30 PM to 6.30 PM EST

Mastery: 3 months

In the Mastery phase, students learn advanced app concepts and AI skills, and apply it to create apps across domains like healthcare, fintech, e-commerce and defense. We also explore niche areas such as blockchain and the crypto economy. Students learn advanced AI-assisted coding using Claude.

Startup School: 2 months

Startup School bridges technical mastery and entrepreneurial execution by providing students with a mini-MBA like program covering business strategy, market research, product development, finance, and leadership.

Students turn their AI skills into viable startup ideas, and showcase it during our celebratory pitch event.

Learning Format:

Self-paced Digital Platform learning + on demand weekly office hours

Graduation:

Congratulations! This marks the graduation from the program. Earn your Flintolabs certificate!

Internship: Optional 1-2 years

Motivated students who graduate from the startup school phase can apply for internships.

Opportunities:

Internships range from AI game design to blockchain development

Portfolio and Work Experience letter:

Tools that students build are added to Flintolabs Marketplace serving real users, serving as their portfolio. The work experience letter details the skills gained and the readiness for future internships.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. This is not a coding program. You'll learn the AI tools that let you build your idea without writing code.

What's the time commitment?

About 1.5 hours a week to start. During the internship phase, we scope the project around however much time you have - whether that's 5 hours or 20.
