Artificial Intelligence

Throughout the entire course, students are introduced to a variety of artificial intelligence topics. Students learn to build AI models using Teachable Machines, and what it’s like to train models and how to use them. They learn this through a hands-on exercise of building an AI model for healthcare to recognize Dementia progression based on Brain MRIs. The program also covers topics such as LLM prompting, AI agents and Responsible AI use. The challenger AI agent makes learning topics like AI Ethics interesting and engaging.

Entrepreneurship

Although this course’s main focus is artificial intelligence, there is a large section dedicated to the business side of it. Students will get to learn how to identify the right idea for their startup, how to identify a business model and all about profitability, and the different aspects that make a startup successful. By engaging in interactive lessons with an AI assistant, helpful visuals, and assignments, students will get the full experience of what it is like to be an entrepreneur.

Idea Pitch as Capstone project

The capstone project is a startup pitch that the student presents. It features parts of everything the student has learned so far, such as entrepreneurship, financial and marketing skills, all in one place. Although the project is presented at the end of the course, students actively work on it from the very beginning, ensuring there is no stress during the final few weeks, and enough time for creativity to take shape.

AI-assisted app Development

During this course, students get to build many apps using AI, with guidance from mentors. Though this might seem arduous, the sessions provide easy-to-understand tips and tricks, making the entire app building process engaging and very rewarding at the end. 

API, Databases and more

The program also teaches concepts such as API keys and APIs by walking through examples of using OpenAI and Deepgram (speech to text) in apps. Students learn how to use Supabase, a cloud database with a generous free tier which enables them to build real apps that can store data. The program empowers students with practical knowledge of what real apps need, opening up possibilities for the idea they choose.

Life skills - Grit, Self-direction, Creativity

But honestly, the best thing that they teach here are the life skills.
